GHOSTBUSTERS: DIMENSION TRAILER
Since July 1, 2016, THE VOID has brought the world of “Ghostbusters” to life for over 20,000 visitors. Guests have been enthralled by the experience and the ability to work as a team to catch and blast ghosts with a proton stream.
The Ghostbusters: Dimension hyper-reality gameplay trailer (posted above,) was released on October 14, 2016, and gives viewers a taste of not only what it’s like to become a ghostbuster, but also why so many positive reviews and coverage have come since its opening.
As a ghostbuster cadet, the mission is simple — figure out if something paranormal is at play in a New York City apartment. Each cadet is equipped with a head-mounted display (HMD), proton pack, haptic vest, and of course, a proton gun. The moment the HMD visor is flipped down, the world becomes an apartment with more than one ghost causing chaos.
Ghostbusters: Dimension is the first hyper-reality experience created by THE VOID to open to the public, thanks to its partnership with Sony Pictures, Ghost Corps, and Madame Tussauds New York.
Several updates are coming to the experience soon including additional improved visual effects, a Psychokinetic Energy Meter (P.K.E. meter), and Rowan’s device.
The P.K.E. meter — invented by Dr. Egon Spengler from earlier “Ghostbusters” films — helps teams detect paranormal energy. It only adds to the experience, if you can find it.
We’re also introducing an achievements system for our more competitive ghost busting cadets. While all five goals are obtainable, it might take several times through the experience to get an A+ score.
Have you tried Ghostbusters: Dimension? What updates would you like to see made?
